Responsibilities include:
  • Assess the career interests and preferences of the individuals’ identified for transition from the Work Center to supported employment and help them achieve their goals.
  • Assist in the development of an outcome management system that reflects the desired goals and expectations of the program and position.
  • Assure the safety of the individual served under your supervision.
  • Being on time for scheduled shifts.
  • Refer work ready individuals to supported employment.
  • Assisting in the transition of individuals with disabilities from work program model to supported employment &/or community based activities
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field, OR minimum one year’s experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Professional, responsible and punctual
  • Active/Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License

 

 Preference will be given to candidates who can work the scheduled hours of 8am-4pm, M-F. It is essential that the candidate can be prompt at 8 am and stay until 4 pm.

General Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Assisting in the development of maximum independence, responsibility and self-worth.
• Integration of quality of life ideals into daily management and program development.
• Preparation and implementation of program goals, individuals’ service plans, progress reports and treatment plans.
• Nurturing positive relationships with individuals, families, guardians and service providers.
• Providing for appropriate healthcare, medical and dental needs and promoting healthy lifestyle choices.
• Providing a climate for motivation and creating a supportive working relationship.
• Preparing and maintaining case records and program reports.
Supervisory Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Providing assistance and support to the house manager.
• Supervising direct care staff in the absence of the house manager
• Assigning/delegating duties to subordinates when house manager is unavailable.
• Carrying the emergency cellphone and attending to program emergencies at a moment’s notice.
• Attending team and clinical meetings.
• Orienting/training employees on as needed basis.
• Addressing and resolving any ensuing work-related complaints or conflicts per agency policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Rehabilitation Counseling, Special Education, Social Work or related field OR minimum three years’ experience working with individuals with intellectual disability.
• Possession of a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License and acceptable driving record

The successful candidate will work 22 hours direct care duties (Sunday and Tuesday) and 18 hours flexible administrative (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday).

Work Inc is seeking a Residential Case Manager to provide support services to adults with Developmental Disabilities, Visual Impairment and Mental Illness who resides in community based apartments throughout Greater Boston and the North Shore. Responsibilities will include assisting clients with transportation, to attend medical appointments, and daily living activities such as grocery shopping, household chores, as well as assistance with finances and community activities.


Qualifications:
